There are many different types of wild bird food that are readily available on the market for enthusiasts to purchase as well as other people who just enjoy the sight of birds feeding on their gardens. Wild bird food is also readily available to buy separate and can be prepared at home.
It is actually quite a simple task to feed these creatures depending on the type of food you are offering. There are some types that can be offered by simply scattering them on the ground while there are other kinds of food that are placed on feeders or trays.
There are members of the tit family that prefer food that is hanging. With these types of birds you can use peanut dispensers and hang it high enough for them to easily feed so as other land animals could not reach it.
Scattering their food on the ground is the easiest way of feeding as many of them prefer feeding on the ground. You can just simply put the food on the lawn but make sure that it is away from places where cats or other land creatures could be hiding. There is also a disadvantage to just scattering the food on the ground as mice or rats or other animals could get at them before the birds do so it is better to use tables or trays where you can put the food when feeding our feathered friends.
Feeding wild or garden birds is a fun thing to do. Just make sure that you are able to offer the food properly for them to get full benefit from it.
